MAGELANG, MY TOWN

I was born in Magelang. It is a small town located in Central Java. It’s near from Yogyakarta and Semarang. There’s so many beautifull scenery at this city. One of the great and most famous place is Borobudur Temple. It is one of the seven world miracles. There’s also other temple in Magelang, for example Mendut Temple. Merapi Mount also located in Magelang. This mountain still active. Last year, this mount had been erupted. This disaster was great that makes so many people died, and many buildings was destroyed.

Magelang is my lovely town. At this town, I’ve met so many friends. I like travelling, so I often go around to sight seeing. If you visit this town, you will see many place that still natural, because most of them is village. The wheather is cool, that we will feel convinient to live there. Magelang’s people is so friendly, kind, and modest.

Traditional food that famous from Magelang is “Getuk”. Getuk is made from cassava, sugar, and coconut. There’s so many flavour, like chocolate, screwpine, vanilli. Beside that, “wajik” also one of unique food. It is made from glutinous rice, coconut milk, and palm sugar. It’s really delicious. You have to try it!

Magelang is industrial town, too. Because there’s so many factory, especially textile factory. The factories located in rural area of Magelang. A lot of people become a handycraft entrepreneur. Because of that, Magelang become one of the city that have a great progress in economical sector.
